Sit for Seniors 2026 Participant Terms and ConditionsThese Terms apply to anyone registering for or participating in the Sit for Seniors 2026 peer-to-peer fundraising campaign run by MWP Care Limited.
1. Registration and Eligibility
- Participants must register through the official fundraising platform.
- Participants under 18 must have parent or guardian approval.
- Participants provide accurate and current registration information.
- MWP Care may decline or cancel a registration where activity is unsafe, inappropriate or inconsistent with the campaign’s purpose.
- Participation is voluntary and does not create an employment, agency or contractor relationship with MWP Care.
2. The Challenge
- Participants are encouraged to complete a 120-second wall sit each day throughout the month of September 2026.
- Participants may adjust the activity to suit their ability.
- Completing fewer than 120 seconds or missing a day does not prevent a participant from continuing the campaign.
- Participants should record their own progress honestly.
- Fundraising goals are targets, not guarantees.
3. Safety
Physical activity involves some risk, including the possibility of injury. By participating, you acknowledge these risks and agree to:
- Complete the activity within their ability.
- Follow the safety instructions provided by MWP Care.
- Stop immediately if they experience pain,dizziness,chest discomfort or unusual symptoms.
- Seek medical advice before participating if they have a health condition or are unsure whether the activity is suitable.
- Use a clear, stable space and a safe wall.
- Avoid performing the activity in a way that creates risk to themselves or others.
- Parents or guardians are responsible for supervising participants under 18.
4. Fundraising
- Participants must use the official fundraising page or approved payment method.
- Participants must represent donations accurately and must not claim that a donation will directly fund a particular service, activity or outcome unless MWP Care has approved that statement in writing
- Participants must not collect cash donations, offer incentives or conduct additional fundraising activities without approval.
- Participants are responsible for ensuring fundraising messages are accurate and respectful.
- Participants must not contact people through spam, misleading messages, harassment or unsolicited commercial communication.
5. Use of Funds
Unless a donation is made for an approved restricted purpose, funds raised through Sit for Seniors will be used at MWP Care’s discretion to support programs, services and associated costs that benefit older Australians.
Release, Indemnity and LiabilityParticipation in Sit for Seniors 2026 involves physical activity and may involve inherent risks, including falls, strains, sprains, aggravation of existing injuries or health conditions, discomfort, illness or, in rare circumstances, serious injury. Participants voluntarily choose to participate and are responsible for considering whether the challenge is suitable for their circumstances.
By registering for or participating in Sit for Seniors 2026, the Participant:
- acknowledges these risks and agrees to undertake the challenge within their own ability;
- agrees to follow all safety instructions and any reasonable directions provided by MWP Care Limited;
- accepts responsibility for any decision to participate, regardless of whether the Participant completes the recommended activity, modifies the activity or participates less frequently than intended;
- releases and indemnifies MWP Care Limited, its directors, officers, employees, volunteers, agents, contractors and representatives, to the extent permitted by law, from claims, demands, losses, damages, costs and expenses arising from or connected with the Participant’s participation in the challenge, the use of the fundraising platform, or any fundraising activity undertaken by the Participant;
- acknowledges that MWP Care does not provide medical advice and that the challenge is not a substitute for advice from a suitably qualified health professional;
- agrees to stop immediately and seek appropriate assistance if experiencing pain, dizziness, chest discomfort, shortness of breath, faintness or any other unusual symptom;
- accepts responsibility for the Participant’s own account, fundraising page, content and fundraising activities; and
- indemnifies MWP Care against loss, damage, claims or expenses arising from inaccurate, unlawful, unsafe or unauthorised statements, conduct or fundraising activities by the Participant.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, MWP Care excludes liability for loss, damage, injury, illness, expense or disappointment arising from participation in the challenge, except where that liability cannot lawfully be excluded, including liability arising from MWP Care’s reckless conduct, unlawful conduct or a breach of rights that cannot be excluded under applicable law.
Nothing in these Terms excludes, restricts or modifies any rights or remedies available to a Participant under the Australian Consumer Law or other applicable law that cannot lawfully be excluded, restricted or modified. To the extent permitted by law and including under section 139A of the Competition and Consumer Act 2010 (Cth), MWP Care excludes liability arising from the specified consumer guarantees for recreational services, including liability relating to death, injury or other harmful consequences associated with participation. This exclusion does not apply to significant personal injury caused by MWP Care’s reckless conduct.
6. Campaign Materials and Branding
- Participants may only use MWP Care’s name, logo and approved campaign materials in the format provided.
- Any altered campaign message, artwork or public statement requires prior approval.
- Participants must not speak on behalf of MWP Care unless authorised to do so.
- MWP Care may request removal of content that is inaccurate, unsafe, offensive or damaging to the organisation’s reputation.
7. Photos, Videos and StoriesBy submitting photos, videos or stories, participants give MWP Care permission to use the material for campaign promotion and reporting. Participants retain ownership of their material. Participants must obtain consent before sharing another person’s image, story or personal information. MWP Care will collect, store and use personal information in accordance with its Privacy Policy.
8. Prize DrawWhere a prize draw applies:
- Participants must satisfy the published eligibility criteria.
- Additional prize-draw terms will apply.
- MWP Care may amend, postpone or cancel the draw where necessary.
- MWP Care will not be responsible for circumstances outside its reasonable control.
9. Changes or CancellationMWP Care may modify, suspend or cancel the campaign where required for safety, legal, operational or technical reasons. Wherever practicable, MWP Care will notify registered
