SIT TODAY.
CHANGE TOMORROW.
Sit for Seniors is MWP Community Care's community fundraising challenge, inviting Australians on Northern Beaches to complete a 120-second wall sit every day throughout September while raising funds to help older Australians stay active, independent and connected.
Whether you participate on your own, with family and friends, or as part of your workplace, every wall sit helps fund programs that improve strength, mobility and wellbeing for older people across the Northern Beaches.
WHY SIT FOR SENIORS?
Every day, more than 400 older Australians are hospitalised because of a fall.
Falls can affect confidence, independence and quality of life—but many are preventable through regular movement, strength-building activities and community support.
1 in 6 Australians is now aged 65 or older—and this number continues to grow.
By taking part in Sit for Seniors, you're helping MWP Community Care continue delivering Exercise & Wellbeing Programs that empower older Australians to remain active and connected within their community.
Every Wall Sit Makes a Difference
Strength, balance and mobility
Healthy ageing and independence
Social connection and community participation
Confidence to keep doing the things that matter
